Learners will also develop skills, techniques, personal qualities and attitudes essential for successful performance in elderly care work. This will enable learners to make an immediate contribution to elderly care employment. Learners will develop transferable skills and knowledge which will enable individuals to meet changing circumstances and taking up different levels of responsibilities such as supervisory or management positions. After completion of the program learners will be able to adapt to general changes in the provision and environment of health and social care for the elderly. The program will ultimately prepare individuals who are keen to progress to further professional development of higher-level skills through further studies or career advancement.
